Just over a week left until the bronze practice expedition.
By Tuesday 1st of May you should have…
- Returned your parental consent and payment – If this is not done by then – you don’t go
. - Remembered that you need at least 2 litres of water per day and something to carry it in? Containers are not supplied so think carefully about the best way to carry it.
- Given thought to the weather – This is Scotland so it may be very wet and windy, or hot and dry, or sometimes all of the above. Make sure you are prepared – sunglasses and sun cream can be as important as good waterproofs.
- Completed your route card – this should be done by now, but ask for assistance if needed.
- Planned your menu and written your shopping list – who is going to buy it? Can some items be had from home?
- Planned how you will divide up your group equipment – Kit will be issued on Tuesday May 1st, and any personal kit will need to be inspected by then.
- Arranged transport to and from the expedition – is it possible to give/get lifts from friends (o.k., their parents!)?
- Given your contact details to the other members of your team?
