Next week South Edinburgh OAG will be operating a practical cooking session for bronze and silver direct entrants to prepare you for your expeditions. The session will follow on from this week and will give you a chance to practice cooking in an outdoor environment.
The practical cooking will be performed outside so a waterproof jacket and warm clothes are recommended. The session will last two hours from 7pm until 9pm. During this time you will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Setup Trangia Gas Stove
- Prepare and Cook a meal
- Clean Trangia Stove and cooking area
In order to complete the above tasks you will need to bring the following items:
- Food for the meal
- Knifes and Forks
- Waterproof Jacket
You will be supervised during the tasks and it is expected that you will taste the food after cooking to ensure it is edible!
