Some of the group last night asked how games and sports may be used as a skill and we just wanted to give idea here.
Here are a list of example of how ‘Games and Sports’ are used within the skill section.
Sports such as football and gymnastics would be a physical activity unless used within Sports appreciation or Sports officiating. More information on all these activities can be found at The Award Website or you can ask one of the leader team.
In case any of our new members are interested, the following details expalain macramé as found on Wikipedia.
Macramé or macrame is a form of textile-making using knotting rather than weaving or knitting.
This activity would be classed as a skill.

That’s when SEOAG returns for the Autumn term.
Existing members should come in at 8pm to find out what will be happing in the coming year and to discuss completion of their current Award level.
Non-members
If you are not a member but interested in completing the Bronze level of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award come and meet us to find out more about it. You should be 14 or older and be able to commit to at least 1 hour a week on Tuesday evenings at James Gillespies High School, 1 hour a week in your own time and 3 weekends throughout the year.
If you are interested join us at 7pm on Tuesday 9th September. Please note – we have limited spaces and these will be allocated on a “First come first served” basis.
