The Scottish Outdoor Access Code

Thanks to everyone who attended last night meeting – It was great to have Jo from the Pentland Hills Regional Park join us and talk to us about access and land use. Remember the three basic principles when you are out in the countryside:

  • Respect the interests of other people: Be considerate, respect privacy and livelihoods, and the needs of those enjoying the outdoors.
  • Care for the Environment: Look after the places you visit and enjoy. Care for wildlife and historic sites.
  • Take responsibility for your own actions.

Jo mentioned the Scottish Outdoor Access Code webiste – Visit this to get some more information or to revisit what was discussed last night. You can also download a pdf version of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code that we used in the session.
